About Us

Lucy Palmer is an award-winning radio documentary maker, journalist, editor and author.
She has spent the last three years writing and editing memoirs for private clients; one book is currently under consideration for publication.

Lucy has more than 25 years’ experience in writing, editing and research. She has a reputation as a generous and insightful interviewer and writer.
After many years living in Papua New Guinea as a foreign correspondent for the BBC, AAP and The Sydney Morning Herald, Lucy returned to Australia and completed a Masters’ Degree in English and Creative Writing.
Lucy now lives in the Southern Highlands of NSW with her three teenage children. Her personal memoir is being published by Allen & Unwin in 2015.

Kylie Matthews is a professional journalist and editor with extensive experience in newspapers, online publications and book publishing. She is also the Associate Director of the Southern Highlands Writers’ Festival.
Kylie has worked for a number of high profile book publishers and media outlets in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, including Simon & Schuster, Macmillan, Routledge, Bauer Media, Fairfax, and News Ltd.

Kylie has a personable interviewing style that ensures her subjects are comfortable and at ease at all times. She has a knack for getting the most out of every interview she conducts and at all times approaches people sensitively, respectfully and without judgement.
Kylie lives in the Southern Highlands of NSW with her husband and two children.
